Moderation Policy

GRABB (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all users. This Content Moderation Policy (“Policy”) outlines the rules, procedures, and enforcement mechanisms related to content shared on the GRABB platform, including website and mobile application.

By using GRABB, you agree to comply with this Policy.

1. Purpose

The purpose of this Policy is to:

  • Protect users from harmful, illegal, or inappropriate content.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive community for LGBTQ+ individuals.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations (including the EU Digital Services Act).
  • Provide clear procedures for reporting, reviewing, and addressing violations.

2. Prohibited Content

Users must not upload, share, or transmit any content that:

2.1 Sexual Content

  • Pornography, nudity, or sexually explicit material
  • Sexual solicitation, escorting, or transactional sexual services
  • Content involving minors or non-consenting adults

2.2 Illegal Activity

  • Fraud, scams, or phishing attempts
  • Content promoting violence, terrorism, or criminal acts
  • Use of GRABB for illegal purposes

2.3 Harassment and Abuse

  • Threats, intimidation, or bullying
  • Hate speech, discrimination, or defamatory statements
  • Stalking or repeated unwanted contact

2.4 Privacy Violations

  • Sharing private contact information publicly without consent
  • Uploading someone else’s photos or personal data without permission
  • Doxxing (publishing private identifying information about an individual or organization).

2.5 Other Restricted Content

  • Spam, unsolicited advertising, or self-promotion
  • Impersonation of other individuals or entities
  • Content that infringes on intellectual property rights (copyright, trademark)
  • Manipulated media (deepfakes) or content generated by unauthorized bots/AI that misrepresents individuals or promotes scams.

3. Moderation Process

GRABB employs a multi-layered approach to content moderation:

  • Automated AI Moderation: AI systems scan text and images for policy violations upon upload. The AI system may remove content or suspend accounts entirely automatically.
  • User Reporting: Users can report suspicious profiles, messages, or content.
  • Human Review: Trained moderators review flagged content and reports and oversee all automated decisions that result in a permanent account ban.

5. Enforcement Actions

Violations of this Policy may result in the following actions, depending on severity:

  • Warning: For minor, first-time offenses.
  • Content Removal: Inappropriate content will be deleted.
  • Temporary Suspension: Account access is restricted for a specified period.
  • Permanent Ban: Account is permanently terminated for severe or repeated violations.
  • In cases of suspension or ban, GRABB will provide the user with a statement of reasons, specifying the grounds for the decision, the content implicated, and information regarding the appeals process.

6. Appeals Process

Users may appeal moderation decisions:

  • Appeals must be submitted via [email protected] within 14 days of the enforcement action.
  • Appeals reviewed by a senior moderation team separate from initial reviewers.
  • Appeals decision will be communicated within 14 days of submission.
  • Final decisions communicated via email.

7. Optional Verified Users

Verified users (via ID document and selfie) are subject to the same Policy. Verification may help resolve disputes faster due to confirmed identity. Verification data is never used to bypass moderation or privacy protections.

8. Data and Record Keeping

Records of flagged content, moderation actions, and appeals are stored securely. Retention period complies with applicable laws (minimum of 6 months, longer if required for legal purposes). Data is accessible only to authorized personnel.

9. User Responsibilities

Users are expected to:

  • Respect community guidelines
  • Report content or behavior that violates this Policy
  • Avoid attempting to circumvent moderation tools
  • Understand that violations may result in account suspension or termination

10. Continuous Improvement

GRABB regularly updates moderation tools and procedures. User feedback and incident reports are incorporated into system improvements. AI systems are retrained to reduce false positives and ensure fair moderation.

11. Legal Compliance

GRABB complies with international, national, and regional laws regarding content moderation, privacy, and data protection. Cooperation with law enforcement occurs only when legally required.
